StreetLevel: The National Roundtable on Poverty and Homelessness

Tim Huff has been involved with Street Level: The National Roundtable on Poverty and Homelessness since its’ very beginnings in 1992, and has served both as Chair of the 2006 national StreetLevel conference, and Co-Chair of the 2009 national StreetLevel Conference. The Hope Exchange is pleased to now be a member of and partner with StreetLevel in its’ vital work across Canada.

StreetLevel is composed of experienced leaders of significant organizations and programs from across the country that work among our nation’s poor and homeless and are dedicated to addressing systemic, sociological, economic, cultural and spiritual deficits that contribute to poverty and homelessness in Canada.

StreetLevel’s mandate, in a Canadian national context, is to:

Gather those who are interested in engaging in social justice issues, providing opportunities for support, celebration and collaboration.

Learn all that we can about the causes and effects of poverty and homelessness, and positive responses to them, and share what we are learning.

Speak in support of people struggling with poverty and homelessness, and support them in speaking for themselves.
