The Hope Exchange will operate out of a paradigm of welcome…
…and a belief in the warm reality of the invitation, “Come and serve with us, and we believe you will encounter something divine, life-giving, and life-changing.” Our vision is that the Hope Exchange would be able to walk through the doors of any school, business, government office or place of worship and have no one feel threatened or concerned about any agenda other than our simple, but elegant mission, to bring hope, serve well, and celebrate. It is likewise among our highest of values to have all people recognize and know that we will treat them, their faith and faith-journey, their culture, peers, and the venues we’ve been invited into, with the utmost respect. Our actions and words will do nothing but honour that commitment and be sensitive to it.
The Hope Exchange officially obtained charitable status on December 22, 2010. An exceptional inaugural board of directors was established in the autumn of 2010, as well as an executive advisory council, made up of women and men with creative and gracious hearts, and outstanding resumes both professionally and personally.
The Hope Exchange is a non-profit organization that manages its funding in a traditional manner; maintaining an annual budget that will be primarily funded by tax receipted donations. A board-approved budget, budget rationale and professional audit will all occur on an annual basis. The Executive Director, with the board of director’s support and assistance, will ultimately be responsible to campaign for, and raise, all of the resources required to operate and grow The Hope Exchange annually. A full complement of donor opportunities will be available for individuals, businesses, small groups, churches, etc., from online giving to credit card and cheque donations. Sustainability is best served via preauthorized monthly donations.
